MIT Black Alumni Honored at Living Histories of Color Ceremony

The 2026 Living Histories of Color Massachusetts State House Installation and Reception took place on Monday, October 26, 2026, at the Grand Staircase in the Massachusetts State House.

The ceremony celebrated changemakers, leaders, and community voices across Hyde Park and Greater Boston. The honorees included MIT Black Alumni Darcy Prather SB '91 and Dr. Kristala Jones Prather SB '94.

Following the official launch ceremony at the Grand Staircase, the 2026 exhibit has moved into the State House's 4th-floor art space. It is open for public viewing from November 17, 2026, through December 2, 2026.

See their stories in this YouTube video.

For the most up-to-date tracking of exact dates as the exhibit moves beyond the State House, you can check updates directly on the Living Histories of Color Official Site
